Legal word of the day:
Relevancy/ Relevance: This is the test to determine if evidence can help prove or disprove legal aspects of a case.
There are two rules for evidence to pass for it to be considered relevant, they are: the evidence has any tendency to make a fact “more or less probable” or the “fact is of consequence in determining the action” (TDCAA).
Evidence that does not pass these guidelines can not be admitted into trial.
